Would you like the opportunity to serve alongside our missionaries at the Athens Refugee Center ? Short-term opportunities are available both for individuals (3months to a year) and groups (10days to two weeks).

Longer term positions are also available such as :

English and modern Greek teachers

Job Description: Teach English or Greek to men, women and children refugees at the beginning, intermediate and/or advanced levels.

Qualifications: Some experience and/or training would be helpful; flexibility and creativity to work within an ever changing and ever-mixing classroom environment.

Computer Technician

Job Description: Teach basic computer skills/lab for refugees; help upgrade, maintain and repair existing computer equipment and programs of the ministry; assist team members with computer skills and problems; help recruit other teachers and donations of computers and related equipment; help design and maintain the ministry's web site and other communication tools (brochures, power point presentations, etc.).

Qualifications: Thorough knowledge and understanding of computer technology.

 

Networking Services Director

Job Description: Networking; collecting data on refugee situation and other organizations that help refugees; building relationships with organizations (sacred and secular); developing referral services; coordinating.

Qualifications: Highly relational; Greek helpful; very organized; database skills; communication skills; service/helps gifts.

Counseling Center Coordinator (pioneering need)

Job Description: Help start counseling center; provide resources; recruit, train and oversee counselors; oversee budget.

Qualifications: Counseling background; administrative; teaching, leadership and people skills; wisdom and discernment; visionary; listener; communication skills; Biblical knowledge; disciple-making heart.

Job Placement and Training Director (pioneering need)

Job Description: Recruit trainers; help start job training program; coordinate workers with jobs needed; find resources; scheduling; budgeting.

Qualifications: Oranized, administrative; practical skills; people, teaching and communication skills; self-motivated; leadership.
